The primary goal of Code Juliettes is to provide elementary, middle, and high school girls with easy-to-access, easy-to-understand, free, and cost-effective information, opportunities, internships, and resources related to STEM fields. The organization aims to create a centralized platform where girls can quickly find information and resources to start or explore STEM.
There are many government and nonprofit organizations that offer free STEM-related activities and opportunities, but unfortunately, many of these go unnoticed or are not easily accessible. Code Juliettes strives to be the one-stop-shop for STEM opportunities for students of all grade levels, where they can easily find information about such opportunities regularly and take advantage of them. These opportunities include school clubs, outside school events, volunteer and internship opportunities for high school students to gain experience and credit for college applications.
Additionally, Code Juliettes hosts information sessions at local public libraries, science museums, and STEM and digital literacy events in and around Charlotte, NC. These sessions educate elementary school kids on cybersecurity and internet safety, while providing information about STEM career fields and college options for middle school students. Moreover, Code Juliettes offers free basic coding lessons for young children to start their STEM journey.
